Our department is staffed by a dedicated team of family medicine specialists, family medicine trainees, nurses, and other allied health professionals who are committed to providing high-quality primary care to meet the diverse needs of the citizens. Our core services include doctor consultations, nursing services, dispensary services and vaccination programmes in General Out-patient Clinics, Family Medicine Specialist Clinics, Hospital Authority Staff Clinic and various chronic disease management programmes such as Risk Assessment and Management Programme for diabetes mellitus and hypertension, Integrated Mental Health Programme, Occupational Medicine Care Service, Smoking Cessation Service and Nurse and Allied Health Clinics etc.
 
There are 8 general out-patient clinics in the Kowloon East Cluster. We provide high quality, comprehensive, holistic and continuous primary care for the citizens living in the community in a multidisciplinary approach. We act as gatekeepers in the public healthcare system, referring patients to the appropriate level of care and ensuring that they receive the necessary medical services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. We not only provide high quality family medicine training for doctors and other primary health care professionals, but also provide post-specialist training for Family Medicine specialists according to their special interest and service needs. We also conduct quality research studies in family medicine practice and publish the results in local and international medical journals. Moreover, we act as a platform for the interface between primary and secondary care and the interface between public and private sectors in order to achieve seamless care.
